Puppet Carriages

By Andrew M. Nicola

Every child likes to play a lot and furthermore it is a very important educational element in the childhood to play. Even animals do that and research has shown that the importance of playing must not be neglected. But it is also very important which toys we choose. Some toys might be a valuable teaching element in the childhood, others might just entertain our offsprings, but do not teach them anything they might need for their future. And even if one stuff that one should let the youngsters just have fun since they will be adults soon enough, it will definitely also help them if one observes them to some natural extend.

All this is the field of research I am into, but in this article I will mainly focus on dolls as typical toy for our youngsters and all the extras like buggies (German: Puppenwagen) for them. The concept of a buggy was developed in Germany to some extend and Germany is one of the countries with the biggest percentage of youngsters having Puppenwagen. Thus in this article I try to summarize the German idea why your offsprings should get a Puppenwagen.

Many children have dolls and most parents expect this or even like the idea of having grand children so early. They like to see that their youngsters care about something else. It might only be a puppet, but still teach them an important lesson: To take care. And this is also the reason why you should think about a puppet dolly (Puppenwagen). Even if you ask a professor for psychology at the university he will tell you not to underestimate the things you can learn from owning a dolly and treating a puppet a bit more like a real child.

Thus youngsters learn that if you have a puppet or child it is not only about that. It is also about many other stuff the puppet needs like any other real human being also needs many other things. You should not be too scared that you child will also ask for many more utensils. important in a puppet's life. Children will still understand the difference between a puppet and a real child. And if they ask you to buy more utensils for their puppets you might explain that puppets do not need that many things. But encourage them to buy this later for their real children.

If you ask children, most of them will respond that they would like to have more utensils for their dolls. They love their puppets and want to treat them the best possible way. This should not amuse the parents; this should be encouraged by them. This particular behaviour of our children shows that they do not only want stuff for themselves. Probably for the first time they think about the needs of somebody else. - 30224
