Natural Tips on Male Infertility Treatment

If you have been trying to get pregnant for over a year without success then you are suffering from infertility as medically defined. It is estimated that around one in eight couples will suffer from fertility problems, and of these around fifty percent is due to the woman, twenty five to the man and the remaining twenty five attributed to unknown casues.

Infertility can be very difficult to deal with, emotionally and physically. Infertility in men can be caused by a number of factors. Commonly sperm production in the testes is the main problem leading to infertility. Low sperm count and/or dysfunction sperm are the usual problems associated with sperm production.

Other causes can include an obstruction in the tubes between the testes and the penis and can result in zero sperm in ejaculated semen. A loss of sperm mobility and an inability to bind to an egg can result from sperm antibodies that develop in some men. Erectile dysfunction and other sexual problems can also be contributing to infertility as well as nerve damage, surgery or hormonal problems such as the right messages not making it to the testes from the pituitary gland.

Infertility resulting from sperm production problems can arise from a number of different reasons, some are easily remedied, others require careful solutions. The presence of a physical problem such as un-descended testes or a torsion will be more likely to require surgery to remedy. However the more common problems arising from infections, drug, chemical and radiation exposure and heat can be treated more simply and naturally.

The connection between infertility and heat is quite well known, however it is less widely known just how sensitive to heat the testes are. The difference between fertile and sterile sperm can be as little as a couple of degrees, and this is all there is between the temperatures of the abdomen and scrotum. Wearing tight underwear that keeps your testes pressed up against your body can be doing damage to your sperms fertility, so if you are wearing tighty whiteys its time to take them off!

Exposure to chemicals such as pesticides and fungicides in larger quantities can also affect your sperm count and sperm motility so if you work in an industry that deals in harsh chemicals then making sure your protective clothing is robust is an absolute must. Similarly radiation damage can lead to infertility due to sperm production problems so the same precautions must be observed, and the exposure eliminated if possible.

Steroid and drug abuse are another huge contributor to male infertility. Aside from the risks to the child if conceived while either parent is taking drugs or steroids, these substances can have seriously averse affects on fertility also. Anabolic steroids are one of the worst offenders " commonly used by bodybuilders to gain muscle, they also shut down hormonal impulses between the pituitary gland and the testes resulting in very low sperm counts.

Unless there is a physical reason like a blockage or deformation in the testes, then infertility can be seen as your bodys way of letting you know something is out of balance inside and needs correcting to get your fertility back. By treating your whole body for infertility, you can tackle every aspect of the problem, and can do so naturally without resort to risky infertility treatments and medications.

Working with your partner is essential, as you will both need to be at you optimum to conceive that bundle of joy you have been waiting for. Get to know your partners menstrual cycle, so that you can be trying at the right times. If your partner is over thirty five, then using some simple, natural methods to increase her fertility is important also, after all the teamwork of parenthood begins before conception!

The first place to start is to cleanse your body. Cutting out things like smoking, caffeine, alcohol and substance abuse is essential, because they will only be thwarting your efforts.
